More Herbal Goodies

I’ve decided to make herbs a priority over the next few months. I’m in the middle of several additional research projects relating to herb use in Mexico. Then, I’m in the process of building my family’s immunity with delicious herbal additions to our daily food and beverage intake. I’m always up for more herbal identification and application skills. When I find something that I’m excited about, I like to share. SO…..

Today, through November 12, you can sign up to enjoy the FREE webinar Three Powerful Herbs to Support Relaxation and Energy sponsored by Ultimate Bundles and presented by Heather from Herbal Academy. Awesome! I’m psyched!

Additionally, Herbal Academy has a new course! Registration opens today for the Emulsifiers and Preservative in Botanical Skin Care Products Intensive from Herbal Academy. This two-part workshop is specially designed for those of you who love making skin care products from natural ingredients.

Session 1 will help you gain an understanding of why we need emulsifiers and preservatives in order to keep creams, lotions, and other emulsions stable and safe for long-term use. Session 2 will have you creating radiant, nourishing topical skin care recipes using some of our favorite herbal ingredients.

The workshop is only $27 with an optional Skin Care Preparations Testing Journal upgrade. Since we’ll be homebound mostly this winter, why not use this time to learn some new skills?

Did you get the FREE Herbal ebooks from last week.? The Ultimate Bundles ebook is no longer available, however, you can still download Traditional Mexican Cold and Flu Remedies and Herbal Support for Cold and Flu Season Ebook from Herbal Academy.

How will you support your wellness with herbs this winter?

FREE Herb Books

So do I have a treat for you! In this post you can find, not one, not two, but three free herb ebooks for you today!

Ultimate Bundles has released The Home Remedies Recipe Toolkit in advance of the Herbs and Essential Oils Bundle (that yours truly will be a part of) available next week. It has 54 recipes for cold and flu, first aid, immune support, skincare, as well as herbal remedies for stress reduction and relaxation. It’s only available until November 9, 2020, so don’t delay!

For those of you that live in Mexico, it’s entirely possible that it will be more difficult to find all the herbs the Ultimate Bundle’s 70-page book includes. So, I’ve made my own little book, Traditional Mexican Cold and Flu Remedies just for you. It has 16 herbal remedies used in Mexico and a little bit of information about each ingredient. I’m hoping to add more as I continue my research and I would love to hear what home remedies those of you who live in Mexico have discovered as well!

Finally, the Herbal Academy also has an amazing and FREE Herbal Support for Cold and Flu Season that you should get to add to your wellness library, if you haven’t already done so. It contains the six must-have herbs and seven herbal remedies to boost your immunity naturally.

These handy little books are FREE, so there’s really no reason not to go ahead and get them. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them as much as I did!

Finding Something to Look Forward to (with Herbs)

I’ve started gearing up for a holiday season without much social interaction this year. Mexico is moving towards full reopening. Campeche was the first “green” state on the COVID scale. However, the state that I live in, Guanajuato, still has rising cases and is in fact second after Mexico State or third if you could Mexico City as a separate entity.

So since I’m not planning on spending time at el Panteon for El Dia de los Muertos, watching the parade for El Dia de la Revolucion or sing in unison during Las Posadas, I did some thinking about how I could enjoy my holiday season without social events.

Happily, I can still enjoy traditional dishes without leaving my home. Hot chocolate, tamales, pozole, pan de muerto, and ponche here I come! I’m also working on more Mexican herb monographs (which will be available shortly through Ultimate Bundles! I’m so excited!). I’m kept busy with our animals and teaching the huge increase in online classes, too.

If you are struggling to find something to look forward to, Herbal Academy has some amazing new courses available and I’m rubbing my hands together in glee!

Follow your nose and enroll in the Natural Perfumery Course by Herbal Academy

The Natural Perfumery Course is open for pre-registry until October 18 for $39. Not only does it look to be an amazing class, but it’s just the thing to make your own perfume for holiday gifts this year. The class includes 7 lessons, 20 recipes as well as several perfumery plant monographs. A little natural scent does wonders for your mood! And if you know a budding herbalist, this would make the perfect gift!

The Herbarium by the Herbal Academy

Herbal Academy is also offering a Botanical Nootropics Intensive Course through The Herbarium. Nootropics refers to substances that enhance cognitive function, brain-boosters if you will. This 3 lesson course will help you become more familiar with how herbs affect brain function.

One-year access to The Herbarium is $45, but a 3-day trial membership is just $3. With membership, you’ll get access to the new course and six other short courses in addition to 170 herb monographs, more than 200 articles, videos, ebooks, and podcasts.

See a sample plant monograph and sample article from The Herbarium.

Enroll in the Herbal Self-Care for Stress Management Course

If the state of the world is getting you down, the Herbal Self-Care for Stress Management Course can help. In his class you’ll learn how lifestyle practices, herbs, and food choices can impact your wellbeing. And don’t forget to download the Cold and Flu Season Ebook FREE for even more herbal care tips.

Herbal Academy has a number of other classes that I’ve enjoyed over the years. Taking charge of my health through natural healing has been one of the things that have kept me even keeled during this uncertain time. The classes are informative and the practical applications fun. Working with herbs is an extremely satisfying experience–one that I highly recommend.

Herbal Courses from beginner to advanced

So herbs, herbs, and more herbs are on my agenda for the next few months. What are you planning this holiday season?
