Small Business in Mexico–Illustrations by Clau Guzes

Today I’d like to feature my good friend and phenomenal artist, Claudia.  She’s not only done several caricatures of me and my son for this blog, she has also designed my logo and business card, created props for several of school events and been a guest blogger herself.  And yes, she really does look like a Disney Princess! I currently have her working on the book cover for an upcoming, yep, you guessed it, BOOK, written by yours truly.

Although I was born in the US, my family returned to Mexico and I came with them. I am currently living in San Miguel de Allende. The move to SMA has been a defining moment for me.  I’ve had to adjust the way I administer my finances.

I create illustrations in whatever style requested for authors and others and sell them via the internet. I began doing this when I first started teaching and discovered the site Deviant Art. I love to draw and I felt that it was a good idea to put to use what I know how to do best.  I work alone, although I have collaborated with Surviving Mexico on a children’s book The History of Moroleon.
